When we got married 6 years ago, flowers were at the bottom of our priority list. I wasn’t really a ‘flower person’. Don’t get me wrong I loved receiving flowers but I wasn’t one to have flowers around the house, and I didn’t really know a peony from a sweet pea. Oh how times change! Now I LOVE all things floral! If I were to get married again, flowers would be at the top of my list! Beautiful Lust Worthy Blooms would adorn every possible surface!
Beautiful Lust Worthy Blooms
There are many different needs for flowers at a wedding. Of course there is the all important bouquet, but don’t forget flowers for your wedding party too. Button holes for the men, smaller bouquets for the bridesmaids, corsage’s for the flower girls. Other ceremony flowers could include pew decorations if you are getting married in a church. Or a table piece for where you will sign the register in a civil ceremony.
For your reception you can go as small or as big as you like when it comes to floral decoration. The more the better in my book! Centrepieces, decorating different areas, and of course decorating your card & gift table and your guest book table.
The Bridal Bouquet
Oh, the bouquet! There are endless ideas and snippets of inspiration across the internet, but let me warn you. If you get sucked into Pinterest…do not search ‘Wedding Bouquets’! Trust me, your night will disappear before your very eyes!
These stunning bouquets are just a few of the thousands that come up! Which is your favourite?

You may notice I am a fan of PRETTY! Peonies are one of my favourite flowers, and the bouquets produced from just a handful can look absolutely beautiful. If you are looking for really pretty flowers but on a tight budget I cannot recommend ‘Baby’s Breath’ enough. Such a dainty and pretty spray of flowers but an oh so gorgeous result! The price for Baby’s Breath is so unbelievably small! I am definitely a fan!
Whilst on the subject of the bride, have you thought about flowers in your hair? Such a delicate but gorgeous touch!

The wedding party
You will want your best girls bouquets to compliment yours, but be a little more understated. Smaller versions of your bouquet are always a safe idea! But sometimes letting theirs be completely different makes everything more interesting!

The ceremony venue
Depending on where you choose to get married, the venue itself will determine whether you needs lots of floral decoration or not. Some beautiful old churches have enough dramatic charm that it doesn’t need anything adding to it, yet other venues may need something to give it that extra glamour.

The reception Venue
As with the ceremony venue, how much ‘dressing’ it needs all depends on both the venue itself and your requirements. The possibilities are endless when it comes to your reception! Just check out some of these ideas!
